Step 2 of 5 - The owner is now logged in to the secure
owner area. The screenshot below shows the Main Menu located in secure owner area.
All reservation system admin functions are initiated from this Main Menu.
The Main Menu below is setup for multi-property reservation management. The Main
Menu summarizes the login account information including owner email, property name,
location, UID, and status of the reservation system. The first section of the Main Menu, Property Listing, is used to setup the property listing details and property listing pictures. These are the listing details and pictures that are presented to the customer in the VacationWagon.com listing directories. There is also an option button to permanently delete a property listing. The second section of the Main Menu, Reservation System, is used to control the live reservation system including setup and customization of a direct link from the owner's existing website to the live availability calendar. The reservation system options are described as follows: VIEW/MOD/CANCEL reservation - used to view all reservations in the reservation database; modify an existing reservation in the database; and cancel an existing reservation in the database. Modifying a reservation may include changing reservation dates, total cost, deposit amount, amount due, and renter contact info. ADD a reservation - used by the owner to conveniently add a new reservation to the reservation database. This is useful when initially setting up the reservation system to include existing reservations. It is also useful to enter new reservations booked via telephone. ENABLE/DISABLE availability calendar - used to control display of the calendar to the customer. If disabled the calendar is not available for viewing and the customer is not able to make a reservation. This is useful when initially setting up the reservation system or when temporarily taking the property off the rental market for, say, remodeling. CUSTOMIZE system/calendar - used to customize the availability calendar and reservation processing web pages to match the property owner's existing website. The web page banner image, page background color, and table background color are specified by the property owner via this option. This customization is only available if a direct connection (link) is specified from the owner's existing website to the property's VacationWagon.com availability calendar. If customers enter the availability calendar via this direct connection, the customized web pages will appear. Otherwise the VacationWagon.com web pages appear. This helps provide a consistent experience for the customer. It also allows the owner to leverage the marketing strength of an existing web site!! CONSOLIDATE reservation systems - used by property owners and property managers with multiple vacation properties. This function associates multiple reservation systems together for fast and easy reservation management. Allows all reservation systems to be accessed from one centralized Main Menu. PURCHASE/RENEW system - used by property owners to initially purchase or renew an existing reservation system. |
